The DeWALT 20V MAX XR™ Hammer Drill is built to provide 3 speeds of control with an extreme runtime for various hammer drilling applications.
Power
20V MAX XR™ extended runtime tools are built with a brushless motor. They are cooler running, give double the runtime of brushed motors, are up to 38% lighter and 57% faster than other 18V Li-ion tools.
This drill's motor provides 820 unit watts out (UWO) of max power.
Hammer drill feature delivers 0 - 38,250 BPM providing superior power for fast drilling of masonry applications. The 3-speed levels are:
- Level 1 = 0 - 500 RPM
- Level 2 = 0 - 1500 RPM
- Level 3 = 0 - 2250 RPM
Gear shifter on the top of the drill allows for 3-speeds to be selected as follows:
- Speed 1 = 0 - 450 RPM
- Speed 2 = 0 - 1,300 RPM
- Speed 3 = 0 - 2,000 RPM
This drill comes with 11 settings for torque adjustments in the screw driving mode. The higher the number, the higher the torque, resulting in the larger the fastener that can be driven.
20V MAX XR™ Extreme Runtime Premium Li-Ion 5.0Ah batteries supply up to 60% more runtime per charge than standard 20V Li-ion batteries. LED fuel gauge on battery gives immediate info on charge level.
The charger has a hot/cold charge delay and will start charge once the battery is at optimal temperature.
It takes only 1 hour to charge the 20V MAX XR™ Extreme Runtime Premium Li-Ion 5.0Ah batteries with the included charger.
Build
LED light in the handle helps to illuminate work area in any lighting situation.
The extremely tough 1/2" metal ratcheting chuck securely holds bits with its carbide inserts and makes bit changing easy with a simple twist of the chuck.
